Halloween pics

Brandon went trick or treating for the first time this year and it was adorable.
He loved every minute of it! We practiced before we left so he would understand what we were doing after the first door he was a pro! He would knock on the door take a candy blow kisses say bye and run to the next house! It was so funny any house with candy on the porch he would grab a few handfuls and take off. He must of known the rule if it doesn't say take one grab as many as you can!!!

September

So I can not believe that September has flown by!
So much has happened in a month and I feel literally like I have been sucked into a whirl wind!
At my salon I moved to a new location and then I decided I wanted a bigger room so 3 weeks ago I moved again! I got some painting done but I am looking for someone with maybe some creativity/ interior design skills that can help me make my room more chic! If anyone knows anyone let me know!

Me, Dave, and our friends from St. George went on a 20 mile backpacking trip in the high wilderness in the UINTAS! I literally wanted to be left on parts of the trails until the next day it was so steep!
So we did some fishing and the weather was bizarr we would be freezing one minute and then dying of a heat stroke the next! That night marked my favorite experience yet.... So I was somewhat asleep becuase the wind was unreal it would be dead calm and it sounded as if waves were coming through the trees and then a micro burst out of no where would crash into the tent! So I am lying there and all of the sudden I feel myself rising off the ground and I am pushed on top of Dave who is dead asleep and this burst of wind rips through our tent breaking 3 metal support poles! So Dave tried to tie it down so every 10 minutes for the rest of the night waves of wind would sand blast us with dirt! In the morning when we got up we looked like 2 Indians covered in about 2 inches of dirt! Great adventure as always!

September 23 me and Dave celebrated our 5 year anniversary! I can not believe it has been this long! I just love him so much and am grateful for such a wonderful patient husband!

splash pool

This my brothers nephew and niece! Aren't they cute! Brandon and her get along so well! Me and Jaci took them to the splash pool to play! The cutest thing was them playing Brandon's new favorite game ring around the rosie!

Dave's Birthday Week!

So things have been a little crazy at the Stringham house for the last couple of weeks. I think a round of this plague cold virus has gone around our house and at one point one of us has been sick!
I had to get a new car because we had 3 and we only need 2! So we traded in our cars and I got a new one and yes 3 days later a girl smashed into the side of me! That has been a delight since I now get to drive a rental car for 6-7 weeks~ But all is well!!! I am just happy Brandon was sitting behind me and not the side the car was impacted! Let's count our blessings!

So for Dave's big 29... he was still feeling a little bit under the weather so I decided I would give him a celebration throughout the week!

Tues- was Dave's B-day and I decorated the house of course and took him out to lunch where our little darling Brandon decided to spill 2 glasses of water!!! We had to leave a big tip and get out ASAP kids are so embarrassing! That night we had that so Bundt cake and I made Dave his fav dinner!
Wed- SINCE Dave was feeling somewhat better, I thought some fresh air would do us good. I planned a surprise to go up the canyon BBQ tinfoil dinners and s moors! My brother decided camper fuel is a good way to start a fire... and Dave went to light it ... and it exploded into a fireball! All I could scream was stop, drop, and roll. I literally thought he was going to look like a burn victim. Thank goodness it only singed off all of his arm hair, some eyelashes, and the side of the hair on his head! None of his skin was burned.

Thurs- We went to dinner with Dave's fam out in Bountiful at a yummy pizza place. His sister and parents definitely spoiled him!

Friday- This was un planned on my part but Dave really wanted to go to Cabellas were he was able to stock up on some of our fishing supplies!

Saturday- So this is the day that I really planned out! I told Dave that we were doing stuff to celebrate his B-day and he would just have to go with it! He really does not like not knowing or being surprised, so he was threatening he would not come! LOL! So first I took him out to lunch at this amazing restaurant @ the district called rumorz they let you choose the kind of fries you want! They have the best terryiaki chicken sandwich ever and I am not a chicken sandwich girl!!!
After that I dropped him off for a massage at the Aveda salon best massages/couple massages!
At this point I had 2 hours to take Brandon to Bountiful... by the time I got back Dave was waiting and then was confused why Brandon was not with us anymore! I could of at that point been like oh my heck I left him at the store... but I told him he was at g-ma's!!! So I started our drive up to Park City were I told Dave we had dinner reservations! I booked us a room at the Hotel Park City, my new favorite to die for place! That night we had reservations at Ruths Chris, Dave's favorite kind of food ever fillet minion done to perfection! After dinner we went and saw the other guys funny/ long and weird at some parts! But all in all I would say one of my favorite date nights!

Sunday- We got breakfast and then headed up to the Uintas and decided to hike bald mountain.
This was the rockiest trail I have ever been on. 5 miles of rock and climbing up rock, with 1000 foot cliffs on the sides of you! Lots of fun and worth the time if you aren't terrified of heights. You can see all of the Uintas it has some great views!

All in all we had a wonderful week and I think Dave enjoyed being spoiled and surprised! I am so grateful for my hubby!

July

July has been really fun and busy for our family this year!!!
I left Kami Hair and moved locations to my own salon in Draper, and I love it!
My Brother in law Ryan left on his mission to Taiwan!

For a vacation we squeezed in 3 destinations with less than a day in between each place! I have decided this is the way to do it!
Part 1: Bear Lake
What a fun week we had with Dave's family (Thank you Jeff and Shawn!) up at Bear Lake!
This is one of my favorite summer get away! Brandon loved playing in the water. Me and Dave took him on the Jet ski for the first time and he was giggling and loving it! I have a feeling he will be adventurous! It was so fun to talk, play, and spend time with Dave's family.

Part 2: Newport Beach, CA
The next day we flew to CA, to go and play with my family and spend every possible minute at the Beach! Brandon LOVES the big waves we had a game of running away from the waves it was so cute! Me and Dave body boarded on some fun waves and I was able to ride into the beach 3x in a row! I am terrified of sharks, but I had the time of my life!

Part 3: Backpacking 11 miles into the uintas
When we got home we set out the next day for 11 miles of backpacking. This is not anything like girls camp. Everything we need to survive is taken Tent, Food, Sleeping bag! I felt like a pack mule!!! We had to pump filtered water out of the springs or best water source we could find! Thank goodness for modern water filters!!! We saw a lot of amazing lakes on our hike... and did a little catch and release fishing it was a great way to end our trip!

And to put the icing on the Cake ! I am an Aunt this month Dave is an Uncle and Brandon is a cousin to our new niece Baby Amelia!
I cant wait to meet our little bundle of Joy!!!

John Adams 1776: I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance,by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.
It ought to be solemnized with pomp, and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward for evermore.

We had such a fun weekend celebrating and spending time together as a family! Brandon loved the fireworks this year! We are so grateful to live in the land of the FREE!

We had so much fun taking a break and playing in the summer weather in St. George!
While we were there we were able to play with our Southern friends the Sorensons! They have 3 little girls that are just dolls! We went swimming, fishing, and Dave went shooting! While the boys were out us girls went to lunch, the toddler splash pool, and ice cream! What a fun 3 days, I can not wait to go back!

Today was a great day! First I got to do what I do best and cut and color some clients hair earlier this morning! I am now donating all of my clients haircuts and old extensions to help clean up the GULF COAST oil spill! Everyday I work and cut hair, I am able to help save our planet!

This afternoon ME, DAVE, BRANDON, SETH AND JACI were able to go to the REAL salt Lake Game they killed it with 3-0. It was a fun game to watch. This was Brandon's first soccer game! When the crowd went wild he would plug his ears. He just started doing that a couple of weeks ago! I was talking to him and asking him a question and he plugged his ears and looked around it was hillarious! He purposely was ignoring me!

These are some pics of him in his jammies getting ready for bed! He was wearing my "Grandma" glasses and laughing his head off it was really cute! I love my little boy!
