July

July has been really fun and busy for our family this year!!!
I left Kami Hair and moved locations to my own salon in Draper, and I love it!
My Brother in law Ryan left on his mission to Taiwan!

For a vacation we squeezed in 3 destinations with less than a day in between each place! I have decided this is the way to do it!
Part 1: Bear Lake
What a fun week we had with Dave's family (Thank you Jeff and Shawn!) up at Bear Lake!
This is one of my favorite summer get away! Brandon loved playing in the water. Me and Dave took him on the Jet ski for the first time and he was giggling and loving it! I have a feeling he will be adventurous! It was so fun to talk, play, and spend time with Dave's family.

Part 2: Newport Beach, CA
The next day we flew to CA, to go and play with my family and spend every possible minute at the Beach! Brandon LOVES the big waves we had a game of running away from the waves it was so cute! Me and Dave body boarded on some fun waves and I was able to ride into the beach 3x in a row! I am terrified of sharks, but I had the time of my life!

Part 3: Backpacking 11 miles into the uintas
When we got home we set out the next day for 11 miles of backpacking. This is not anything like girls camp. Everything we need to survive is taken Tent, Food, Sleeping bag! I felt like a pack mule!!! We had to pump filtered water out of the springs or best water source we could find! Thank goodness for modern water filters!!! We saw a lot of amazing lakes on our hike... and did a little catch and release fishing it was a great way to end our trip!

And to put the icing on the Cake ! I am an Aunt this month Dave is an Uncle and Brandon is a cousin to our new niece Baby Amelia!
I cant wait to meet our little bundle of Joy!!!

John Adams 1776: I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance,by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.
It ought to be solemnized with pomp, and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward for evermore.

We had such a fun weekend celebrating and spending time together as a family! Brandon loved the fireworks this year! We are so grateful to live in the land of the FREE!
